- Low-Fat Daily Maintenance is specifically designed for the bird that tends to overeat and become overweight. Owners may continue to offer their bird a nutritious, palatable diet on a free choice basis (preferred over the feed restriction method). If a bird still gains excessive weight when fed the Low-Fat Daily Maintenance diet, a veterinarian should be consulted. The bird may need to be placed on Roudybush Formula AR or the amount of food made available to the bird may need to be reduced.
- Use 1/3 Breeder and 2/3 Low-Fat Maintenance for birds that seem to have a higher calcium requirement (African Greys), other birds that have higher calcium requirements or chronic egg layers.
- Low-Fat Daily Maintenance comes in half pound, 22 ounce, 44 ounce, ten pound, twenty-five pound containers.
