Foraging Wheel

This is a great toy to get those minds working! Because the birds can see the treats inside of it, they are encouraged to play with it and figure out how to get the treats out. I put a small treat cup under the wheel at first so when the treat fell out, it went into the cup instead of on the floor. Then once the birds figured out to grab the treat as it was coming out, I was able to take the cup down.

I fill this one with little wooden spools and my conure loves to get them out (I've even seen him put them back in when he's done with them!). He wasn't afraid of it at all because it's translucent so I was able to put it right in the cage after showing it to him. It also keeps the toys dry when I give him spritz baths so I really like that about it.
